Introduction to Pastoral Care

Cliff College is delighted to again offer this ‘Introduction to Pastoral Care’ day course, entitled ‘Let’s Talk, Let’s Listen’. We invite you to explore this important area of Christian ministry under the leadership of Jennie Fytche.

Pastoral Care Day Course

Pastoral care is at the very heart of mission and ministry. It is born out of compassionate care and nurtured in the relationships we foster within our families, churches, and communities. During this day course, there will be the opportunity to develop some of the essential communication skills required to create effective, caring relationships within ministry.

Sessions for the day will include:

  • creating a caring relationship
  • communication skills in pastoral care
  • caring with compassion
  • bonds, boundaries and balance in the emotional worlds of care ministry

I found the talk on listening particularly moving, brilliantly informative and one everyone should hear often.

Sarah, health and social care lecturer
